As I’ve previously said, an army wife’s life is long periods of boredom punctuated by brief bursts of frenetic activity.
Today’s activity is pretty frenetic. We’ve just learned that the CFB Trenton base commander Russell Williams has been charged with 2 counts of murder.
I feel like I’m watching a CSI episode unfolding in my back yard. My heart goes out to the families of the deceased young ladies. My heart also goes out to Mrs. Williams who must be going through hell at the moment.
Right now I’m waiting for my husband to arrive home to see if he has any more news but I think the OPP media release says it all.

Not sure what to say about it. I have the luxury of being so far away from it all, and I’m still gobsmacked by it, I’m gonna follow the story but the lack of information frustrates me and I’m sure many others.
huh, where am I going in this? I think I forgot, in any case I’m gonna stay away from forming an opinion till we find out more.
@Sasha – We have a ring-side seat but there is nothing we know that hasn’t already been released to the press. There are a few internal shuffles within the Air Force itself (I’m told) but that isn’t out of the ordinary when a commanding officer is incapacitated (by injury or something).
It will be an interesting story to follow and I’ll be blogging about it in a week or so when more information is solid. There is a lot of gossip going around too. I’ve just learned to ignore that stuff.
