For all of you out there who want to know just what military life is like, I completed an interview with the great people at Muchmore Magazine.

For the record, I don’t know who the anonymous “Karen Smith” is. She sounded depressed about military life and doesn’t seem to be able to handle being on her own. It’s a good thing her husband is in the Air Force because she couldn’t handle life as an ARMY wife.
I’m gonna stick up for Karen Smith inasmuch as that some days, I know if you asked me about life as a military spouse, I’d wring my hands and moan about how terrible it is. Some days are good, some are not so good- most of the time we feel strong, but sometimes not so much. Some of us are pretty good at being military wives (either by virtue of having been in ourselves, or from a military family), some are not. And sometimes children change everything in ways you don’t imagine!
And if they interview you on a crummy day, you might come off as weak. I am too new to the world of military spouses to see truly have an accurate picture of how this all shakes out along service lines, having only been in Halifax which is at Navy town, but I’d like to think all wives should stick together. 🙂
